Starting your first chat

Open the site, choose text, voice or video, and tap start. No sign-up is needed. You will be asked to confirm you are 18 or older on the first visit. For a longer walkthrough, see how it works.

The camera or microphone is not working

• Look for a camera or lock icon in the address bar and set camera and microphone to Allow for anonymouschatlive.com.
• Close other apps that might be holding the camera, such as video call apps.
• On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings, then Safari, and check Camera and Microphone access.
• On Android, check that your browser app has camera and microphone permission in the system settings.
• Reload the page after changing any permission.
• Still stuck? Switch to text mode, which needs neither.

Matching takes a while or keeps dropping

Waiting longer than usual normally means fewer people are online in the mode you picked at that hour. Trying another mode often helps.

Dropped calls are usually down to the connection. Moving closer to your router, switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi, or closing heavy tabs tends to fix them. A VPN can also slow down voice and video.

Free matches, the Reward Center and coins

New users get free matches when they arrive. The Reward Center at the top of the start match screen adds more once you have been online long enough, and it can be claimed several times a day. When free matches run out, further matches use coins. The free anonymous chat and coins pages explain the details.

If coins you paid for have not appeared, refresh the page and check you are signed in the same way you were when you paid. If the balance is still wrong, email [email protected] with the purchase date and amount.

Staying safe and reporting

Tap next to leave any chat, block to avoid meeting someone again, and report to send the chat to our moderators. Reports are reviewed by people. The community guidelines list what is not allowed.

Accounts, data and deletion

You do not need an account to chat. If you made one and want it deleted along with its data, email [email protected] from the address linked to it, or include details of the sign-in method you used. Any coins left on a deleted account are lost.

Installing it like an app

There is nothing to download from an app store. On iPhone, tap Share in Safari, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the Chrome menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. The icon then opens the site full screen.
